Eva De’Athe
Principal Lawyer

Eva is the principal of Apex Legal. She was admitted to practice as a solicitor in 2006 after completing her Masters of Law and Legal Practice Degree at the University of Technology, Sydney. She has also completed a Bachelor of Business degree and is a Nationally accredited mediator and registered Family Dispute Resolution Practitioner.
Throughout her career, Eva has gained a wealth of experiences covering a wide variety of legal fields including family law, criminal law, civil litigation, conveyancing and wills and estates. She now focuses solely on Family Law, conveyancing and probate, with a strong focus on dispute resolution.
Eva assists clients by adopting a practical, empathetic and cost-effective approach to resolving family law matters. She strives to settle matters early via sensible negotiation and mediation to avoid the need to take matters to Court where possible.
Our office has comfortable mediation facilities and are able to facilitate face to face mediation as well as shuttle mediation where required.
Eva has extensive advocacy experience, having appeared in the Family Court, the Federal Circuit Court of Australia, various Local Courts, the Sydney District Court and the NSW Supreme Court. With her strong work ethic and passion for the law, Eva strives to deliver high quality legal services to all of her clients.
Eva is a member of the Law Society of New South Wales and is admitted to the roll of the Supreme Court of New South Wales and High Court of Australia.

Paul McCann

Paul was admitted to the profession in 1988 and since that time has attained extensive experience in the areas of family and criminal law. Paul is focused on providing straight forward and sensible advice to those experiencing a separation or in need of family law advice or criminal/traffic law advice.
Paul is client centric in everything he does. Paul’s primary objectives are to get results for his clients, keep matters out of court where possible and to keep his client’s fees to an absolute minimum. Paul is approachable and down to earth. He understands the stressors involved in litigation and has the technical excellence and emotional intelligence to get matters resolved quickly while treating his clients with respect and compassion.
Paul has appeared in matters before the Supreme and District courts, as well as the Federal Family court and local courts.
